In today’s rapidly shifting global landscape, Africa stands at a critical juncture, and the continent needs men and women who are committed to realizing the dreams and aspirations of our people. These are individuals who will turn the vision of our forefathers and foremothers—who fought relentlessly for Black freedom worldwide—into reality. While the challenges vary across countries like Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, South Africa, Kenya, and beyond, the goal remains the same: African Unity.
One of the most pressing challenges we face is identifying individuals deeply dedicated to the total liberation of Africa—those who will devote their time, energy, and resources to complete this unfinished business of freedom. Africa does not need theorists offering empty rhetoric or complaints. It requires practical, resolute individuals—people with unwavering belief in Africa’s potential and the courage to act, recognizing that we, and only we, must take charge of our destiny.
We all have a role to play.
While we honor those whose dedication to the struggle remains unshaken—some of whom have paid the ultimate price in supporting the African Continental Unity Party (ACUP) and other revolutionary organizations, like the All-African People’s Revolutionary Party—the continent cries out for more revolutionary souls. The continued suffering imposed by Western imperialism, the artificial barriers to our progress, and the daily struggles of oppressed Africans around the world demand men and women who will rise and fill the gap.
As scripture says, the strong should bear the burdens of the weak. This is not far from the African philosophy of Ubuntu, which teaches: I am because we are, and we are because I am. Those who possess knowledge must teach, and those who have resources must give for the collective good, not to engage in empty celebrations but to contribute meaningfully to the struggle that will uplift us all.
The blood of our ancestors—those who perished on cotton and sugar plantations enriching Europe and America, as well as those killed by colonial practices in the streets of America—cries out for action. We cannot afford to postpone our mission. It is the responsibility of our generation to act decisively, using every resource at our disposal to secure a future for the African race.
