The Arbitrary Borders; How Europe Has Kept Africans As Personal Properties Till Today!

From November 15, 1884 to February 26, 1885, the ruling classes of European nations sat down at a Conference in Berlin, Germany to divide the African Continent and her people among these European Nations as their personal properties.

At this conference, our ‘representatives’ were the very people who were there to divide us.

Intoxicated by their quest to own and exploit our resources, they ‘placed’ our beautiful and precious continent on the table and started drawing these arbitrary lines we are refusing to let go.

Lines that separated families, common dialects and kingdoms. Unfortunately, we have held unto these lines even as they seek to remove theirs in Europe.

Let us remember that by dividing us with artificial boundaries, they put psychological boundaries in our heads which makes us weak for their easy control and exploitation.

By February 26th of 1885, Africa and all the African people have been divided as properties of European nations and till today, this property allocation and division still stands. No collective conference nor resolution, thereafter, has been put forth to anull this unjustifiable act of 1885.

The only thing that has happened is that, some of our own people have been trained and employed as new colonial agents to work for these same old colonizers. This means, as we walk as Africans today, we continued to remain personal properties of some countries in Europe.

“Injustice anywhere, is a threat to Justice Everywhere” MLKJ.

It is time that we all get together and unite. By uniting, we have broken this artificial division that was set in place, for our exploitation.

We must leave behind the Africa we have in our hands, in order to take up the Africa which is truly ours. It is time to rebuild Africa together, join the African Continental Unity Party-ACUP, register your membership at www.africanacup.org
