The African Continental Unity Party (ACUP) has officially appointed Yaa Nyarkoa as the new Regional Coordinator for the Asante Region. This significant appointment marks a vital step in ACUP’s commitment to enhancing grassroots mobilization and empowering local communities within the Asante Region.
Yaa Nyarkoa, a dedicated Pan-Africanist based in Kumasi, has been actively involved in the Pan-African movement for over four years. She has honed her leadership skills through her role as an organizer at the SDD-UBIDS collective campus, under the Socialist Movement of Ghana. Her tireless efforts in social causes are further demonstrated by her advocacy for women’s empowerment and her impactful community development work.
One of her major accomplishments includes leading the “My Gender is My AGENDA” campaign, a powerful initiative aimed at advocating for gender equality. She has also played a pivotal role in the “She Leads” movement, a partnership with Community Alliance for Rural Development (CARD) Ghana and Plan International, in collaboration with the National Youth Authority of Ghana. These initiatives have brought substantial progress in promoting women’s empowerment and youth development throughout the country.
Yaa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Development Management, bringing with her a wealth of expertise in national and community development projects. Her unwavering passion for African self-reliance and transformation aligns seamlessly with ACUP’s mission to build a future for Africa that is envisioned, led, and sustained by Africans.
In her new role as the Asante Regional Coordinator, Yaa Nyarkoa will spearhead ACUP’s strategic initiatives in the region. She is tasked with mobilizing community support, driving development efforts, and advocating for policies that reflect the aspirations of the Asante people. Her leadership is expected to strengthen unity, foster growth, and ensure that the Asante Region plays a crucial role in Africa’s journey toward self-reliance and prosperity.
