Yesterday, the African Continental Unity Party (ACUP) leadership made a significant visit to the Daboya District in the Savannah Region of Ghana. The delegation, led by ACUP members, first paid a courtesy visit to the District Police Command in the morning, followed by a meeting with His Royal Highness, Wasipewura Yakubu Mimuni Nyame Kabasagya II, Paramount Chief of the Wasipe Traditional Area, later in the day.
Visit to Daboya District Police Command
During the morning session, the ACUP delegation visited the Daboya District Police Service to formally introduce the party and its activities in the district. The primary objective was to inform the police authorities about ACUP’s presence and operations in the region. ACUP representatives shared the party’s mission as a Pan-African political force working to mobilize and organize the district’s citizens to bring Pan-Africanism to power and rebuild both Ghana and the African continent into a prosperous society.
ACUP emphasized its commitment to law and order, highlighting the importance of collaboration with the police in ensuring a peaceful environment for its operations. The party expressed its need for the police service’s support in providing security and protection, acknowledging the police’s role in maintaining peace across the district and the nation.
In response, the police command assured ACUP of its commitment to upholding peace and security in the district. The police reiterated their willingness to assist the party with any security-related matters, stating that their doors are always open for cooperation.
Meeting with His Royal Highness, Wasipewura Yakubu Mimuni Nyame Kabasagya II
Later in the afternoon, ACUP members visited the palace of His Royal Highness Wasipewura Yakubu Mimuni Nyame Kabasagya II, Paramount Chief of the Wasipe Traditional Area. The purpose of the visit was to formally introduce the party to the chief and his sub-chiefs, seeking his blessings and guidance as ACUP embarks on its mission in the district.

During the meeting, ACUP reiterated its dedication to rebuilding Africa through the power of Pan-Africanism and emphasized the importance of community engagement in its efforts. The party extended an open invitation to all Africans who recognize the collective responsibility of rebuilding the continent to join its movement.
Through his linguist, Wasipewura Yakubu Mimuni Nyame Kabasagya II offered valuable advice to ACUP, urging the party to be transparent with the people about its mission. He cautioned against making false promises for the sake of gaining political power. “Politicians are going around promising heaven and earth,” the Paramount Chief noted. “As a new political party, do not be like the others.”
ACUP members expressed their deep gratitude to His Royal Highness for his warm reception and the guidance he offered during the unannounced visit. They assured him that the party would adhere to his wise counsel as they continue their efforts in the district.
