Building Economic Base for Pan-Africanism: An Opportunity for Everyone

In the end, we should be able to tie our political liberation to our economic empowerment.

This agenda of true Pan-Africanism cannot be seriously run on donations and the benevolence of those who see it fit. The agenda must be able to attract the full involvement and energies of the genuine soldiers who are giving themselves up to keep it alive and it should be able to provide all life’s necessities and protection to these soldiers. We cannot build Africa, while we are fully dependent and are giving every energy, intelligence, and time we have to the very oppressive system to become more stronger, thereby facilitating the milking of Africa more.

If we have any dreams that should keep us awake from sleeping, then, it should be for the following questions or tasks: “How can we, on our own produce and provide constant food supply to all the people who are fully involved in, and are supporting this agenda?; How can we give these dedicated soldiers a safe and a secured shelter?; And how can we design and give them clothing?”

Ultimately, this should form the basis of our new economic system to push our political liberation and control. We should be able to attract more energies and skills in our communities into our supportive economic system to make it stronger. This efforts with time, will yield the desired outcomes, at the same time, while withdrawing our involvement and support to the existing exploitative system.

In today’s Africa, what has become a common practice is that, all the so called development and capital projects are being built on loans and debt. We are totally dependent on other people even for our own survival and progress.

What is more dangerous, in what is happening is that, our so called leaders are agents and representatives of foreign corporations and governments, so when they dubiously print paper money and hand it over to us as loans to build our countries, then we have to, in return, use 90% of these loans to give contracts of our supposed development to these foreign/multinational corporations who immediately remit the money back to their countries. The remaining 10% is used to provide luxury living, security, and protection to these wicked African political class who are agents of the system so that they can be comfortable and strong to continuously represent the exploitative interests of the oppressors. Now, they have built roads and bridges for us, but they have gone away with the financial, knowledge, technical and capital gained from doing the work and we are left with debt for generations while we have no financial or knowledge capital in our hands to even maintain these costly infrastructure.

The African Continental Unity Party – ACUP is here with a solution. The ACUP is here to bring all of us together, to build ourselves, and to take practical steps towards building our continent, and for our generations yet unborn by ourselves.

In building our countries, the Government of the ACUP shall ensure that the human capital of Africa is well trained and developed. This human capital shall again be supported by a pool of internal resources to build all our development needs.

We shall ensure that Africans lead, control, and own the development journey of Africa, to ensure that we continously build both financial and knowledge capitals in our continent to maintain and continue our development in our own pace and time.

We shall not lend our development in the hands of others. Where we lack the knowledge, skills and logistics, we shall cooperate with others for mutual benefit in order to build ourselves up to standard. To us, our development deficit today is a great asset and opportunity for us to build our knowledge base and economic capital. Yes, the development gap in Africa today, is what supposed to create employment, help Africans to gain technical knowledge, and build our financial capital once we are given the opportunity to participate in building and solving the many problems we have in our society today. We shall make sure that the process of building Africa shall be the process of transforming the African.

The ACUP is an Agenda by all Africans to rebuild Africa, by all Africans, and for all of us. If you know that we are at a wrong path and on a bad stage today, then the solution isn’t to say that Africa can never work. The solution is in our collective decision to work together with sincerity, and ultimate dedication and sacrifices to see Africa changing rapidly.
