You must be familiar with the saying that, “money can’t buy you happiness.” That is true. But have you ever wondered about the things that poverty has ever bought??? The answer is nothing! People in poverty constantly think that rich people have the money; and they (the poor) can keep the happiness.
When your child is sick, and you go to the hospital without money, that is when you realise that money can buy happiness. It’s true money can’t buy happiness but it influences everything that matters to us. The food we eat, the clothes we wear, where we live, and the education we receive all need money. Money influences everything that matters.
Money is one of those things that you would rather have and not need, than need and not have.
How then can we make money.
You are probably making money already but chances are, you aren’t making enough to cover your expenses and purchases (expenditure). If you continue with this rythme you will end up working till you die.
If you are looking forward to retiring well and rich, you have to do these things:
1: Spend less than you earn,
2: Buy needs only,
3. Earn more than you spend,
4: Invest.
Do you see repetition in one and three? Well, it’s not repetition.
When you spend less than you earn, you cut down your expenses so that you can be able to save something.
When you earn more than you spend, you increase your sources of income to ensure that you have more than you need to spend.
So you see, after following points one and three, you are left with more money. So what do you do with the surplus? You invest to generate more money.
