AFRICA MUST EMBRACE A REVOLUTIONARY APPROACH, NOT PIECEMEAL PROGRESS

Africa can no longer afford to continue with the piecemeal, fragmented approach to development. What the continent urgently needs is a revolutionary mindset shift in everything we do today. The renewal of our collective thinking is non-negotiable.

Ladies and gentlemen, it is time to put aside the confusion, distractions, and debates that do not serve the mission of our generation. We must channel our energies into three strategic sectors that hold the key to Africa’s industrial take-off and its emergence as a magnet for high-value, responsible foreign direct investment from global industrial giants.

1. A Continental Railway Platform;
The 21,000-km African Railway Triangle Network Master Plan, spearheaded by Century Rail Ltd., is critical to unlocking intra-African trade, boosting mobility, and integrating markets under the AfCFTA framework.

2. Powering the Future – 200 GW of Additional Electricity;
Africa currently generates a paltry 250 GW of electricity—barely a fraction of China’s 2,800 GW. To become competitive and meet industrial needs, we must add at least 200 GW, bringing the total to 450–500 GW, just around 15% of China’s current capacity. This is not optional—it is essential.

3. Communication Infrastructure: Fiber Optics & Space Satellites
Universal communication access must become a reality. That means continent-wide fiber optic cable expansion and space satellite investments to guarantee high-speed connectivity and digital inclusion for every African.

We are mot lacking in Funding, we are lacking for visionary people at the helm of our continental affair, men and women willing to move mountains and go through walls to win for Africa.

Failure to recalibrate our priorities and focus on these strategic pillars will condemn Africa to continued mediocrity, dependency, and a perpetual lag behind the rest of the world.

The time for bold action is now. It has never been more favorable than today.
Let us rise. Our Generation must do this for a brighter future of our continent and generations to come
